Video: Destruction in Port-au-Prince seen from the air

After the devastating earthquake that struck Haiti on 12 January, a team of SOS Children's Villages from the Dominican Republic succeeded in flying to Haiti in a hired helicopter on 14 January. It took them to Santo, where SOS Children's Villages runs one of its villages and other programmes some 16 kilometres from the heavily destroyed capital Port-au-Prince. The team did not get landing permission but gained a general overview over the situation on the ground. Watch the video which gives you an intensive impression of the destructions and the distress of the people in Hait.
