12 August 2008 - International Youth Day  

Declared by the UN General Assemly in 1999, this International Youth Day is meant to create worldwide awareness of the needs, problems and dreams of youngsters. 12 August should also promote mutual responsibility and support amongst youth and should emphasize their future as a matter of international concern.
