Three co-workers and a mini-bus packed full of games will travel through the whole country with the aim of helping children, informing them of their rights and spreading the SOS Children's Villages idea through the land.
The SOS Children's Villages Bosnia's new playbus parked for the first time on the playground of SOS Children's Village Sarajevo. Here in the SOS Children's Village the jolly bus gave its first performance. Skilled games, juggling and balancing were fun, children could paint their faces as their fancy takes them and group games brought the children together.

The SOS Playbus set off on tour at the end of April and is due to make stops in parks, hospitals, orphanages and among the concrete housing estates which are in need of little livening up. The games are pedagogically devised and help children to break down communication barriers. And while playing, the children learn about their rights, looking after the environment and much more - issues which are usually poorly addressed.

The SOS Playbus will be an important ambassador for SOS Children's Villages and will spread the SOS Children's Villages idea well beyond the Sarajevo city-limits and all over the country. The children will be especially happy in the disadvantaged areas of Bosnia where there is hardly any variety to life.
SOS Children's Villages wants to use this playbus to show children, families and authorities how child-oriented free-time activities can look. SOS Children's Villages has been particularly successful in Bosnia-Herzegovina: 200 boys and girls have found a new home in two SOS Children's Villages. Over 1,500 children regularly visit the two SOS kindergartens and the SOS Social Centre.
