"What if they gave war and nobody came?", was a slogan of the Peace Movement. We say: What if they gave peace... and everybody came! What would we find? A world of justice, in which all the people have equal chances? Harmonic cohabitation? Constructive ways of dealing with conflicts?
In this issue you find articles on both the history of the peace concept and on various aspects which are imperative for concrete peace. Aspects such as the above mentioned ways of dealing with conflicts and equal chances play a role in this context, while you also find articles from the spheres of religion and education. In addition to that, one article deals with the role of women in war situations from an unconventional, to some people possibly provoking point of view.
Perhaps, after reading this issue of FORUM, your concept of peace changes or you have completely different ideas about peace - please let us know so. In our section "Letters to the editor" we like to continue discussions on the main topic.
