There can be no doubt that our work focuses on people - the children and young people who need our assistance. Our central questions are - what do they need in order to be able to grow up fit and strong, and what can help them to overcome their traumas? It is our task to find the appropriate answers to all of these issues and to implement them in our everyday work.
However, when we reflect on such matters it soon raises additional questions about the position of our co-workers. What supports us in our work? Are we, as people, the heart and soul of our organisation, or are we "merely" the means to an end for it? These are the questions the current SOS-Kinderdorf-Forum issue investigates.
