SOS Children's Villages is convinced that children can only develop to their full potential if they have a supportive and protective family environment. This is why SOS Children's Villages offers family-based care for children who have lost their parents or who cannot be raised in their biological family. This care takes each individual child's past, needs and abilities into account.

Stable, reliable relationships and individual support for children until they become young adults are the most important elements of the care.
