Children who are admitted into an SOS Children's Village normally have suffered a lot in terms of distress and the loss of loved ones. They are confused and filled with sadness. They slowly have to learn again what it means to laugh, to gain confidence and to make friends. Often, it takes a very long time for the wounded soul of a child to heal.
