Education

Those who can read and write stand less chance of being mistreated or tricked, according to a Filipino grandmother. Unable to read the instructions on a medicine bottle, a Kosovar mother risked the health of her family. Across Africa and Latin America literacy programmes continue to help eradicate poverty and contribute to peace.
