Creating social networks for children

SOS Children's Villages supports families and communities in becoming self-sustainable, so they can provide for their children in the future. Community members and decision-makers are involved and objective needs analyses are carried out to determine which families need help and what kinds of programmes will be most suitable. We rely strongly on voluntary and community work in this process. In this way, the strong social networks, on which thriving communities depend, grow, and community members develop the skills and knowledge necessary to learn to meet their own needs and support themselves and their children for the long-term.
