Young chefs will compete to create the best new dish, and €1 from every lunch and dinner at participating Marriott hotels in September will go to support SOS Children's Villages youth employment programmes.

For the third year, Marriott-branded hotels in Europe are running "You Eat, We Give" throughout September. Marriott is asking guests to join them in celebrating delicious, innovative cuisine, while supporting programmes that help young people learn valuable job skills and make a good career start.

In previous years, “You Eat, We Give” raised a total of €270,000 for SOS Children´s Villages Youth Programmes.

As part of the popular fundraiser this year, young chefs will compete to create the most appealing new sustainable fish dish.

Last year's challenge was to invent the best dessert. The Strawberry Caramel Panna Cotta created by David, an apprentice from the SOS Children's Villages Vocational Training Centre in Berlin, Germany, was nominated for Best Strawberry Dessert.

Throughout September, Marriott friends and guests can vote for their favourite dish on Marriott Europe's Facebook page. The winning dish will be featured on Marriott menus from October through the end of the year.

”You Eat, We Give” is part of Marriott’s Europe-wide “World of Opportunity” initiative, which helps young people from disadvantaged backgrounds reach their full potential by supporting programmes, such as those of SOS Children’s Villages, that teach life skills and open up vocational opportunities.

Earlier this year Marriott revealed plans to create 20,000 job opportunities by 2020 for young people aged 16 to 25, through a range of placements, apprenticeships, trainings and development courses.

Since 2012, Marriott International hotels in Europe have raised funds and in-kind donations, and volunteered for SOS Children’s Villages.

Together, Marriott and SOS Children's Villages have so far developed long-term local partnerships supporting young people in 20 European countries.
