Assistant to the President (f/m)

Location: International Office, Innsbruck/Austria

SOS Children’s Villages International is the umbrella organisation for the global federation of SOS Children’s Villages. As a non-governmental social development organisation we support children without parental care and families in difficult living conditions through services in care, education, health and emergency relief, and we advocate for the rights of children and young people, in alliance with a great diversity of partners. We work in 135 countries and territories, reaching over one million children, young people, families and caregivers each year.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Ensure a smooth and efficient communication with different stakeholders in line with organisational standards
  • Provide content support for the President in preparation of his business trips, including preparation of relevant documents and presentations
  • Pro-actively update the Office of the President (OPR) related online platforms (Collaboration platform) in close collaboration with the Communication department
  • Provide general administrative support, including interfacing with stakeholders and staff in countries worldwide
  • Take minutes of meetings/discussions and ensure that action points are followed up
  • Provide internal language services and correspondence in different languages for the OPR
  • Support the President to prepare communication statements for both external and internal use in close collaboration with the Communications department
  • Coordinate support for the different projects (Strategy 2030, Federation 2030, etc) within OPR and the different teams in the General Secretariat
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, international relations or related field
  • Ideally three years of professional experience in a relevant setting (within an international environment); previous experience within an NGO setting is desirable
  • Fluency in English and German both orally and written
  • Very good MS Office user skills (especially MS Excel and MS Powerpoint)
  • Strong ability to prioritise, plan, and perform multiple urgent tasks swiftly and seamlessly with a proactive, focused, solution-oriented and structured way of thinking and working
  • Great sense of self-discipline and self-management and personality who can handle the unexpected with flexibility and a positive attitude
  • Applicants must hold a valid Austrian working permit or be eligible to work within the EU
