Business Analyst (f/m)

Location: Innsbruck or Vienna/Austria

SOS Children’s Villages International is the umbrella organisation for the global federation of SOS Children’s Villages. As a non-governmental social development organisation we help children without parental care and families in difficult living conditions through services in care, education, health and emergency relief, and we advocate for children’s rights. We work in 136 countries and territories, reaching over one million children, young people, families and caregivers each year.



The Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) team is the product owner of ProDIGI, a new programme management IT solution built on the Salesforce platform which is run in cooperation with an external vendor and with other business owners of the system.

ProDIGI aligns the programme management process of all programme types and areas with each other, and allows streamlined performance benchmarking as well as planning and steering of programmes across the federation.


Tasks and Responsibilities

Lead Business Requirement Management

  • Gather, articulate and analyse business requirements and define software configuration specifications based on Enterprise Architecture principles in collaboration with our developers. This includes the management of the project JIRA board and leading sprint planning as Scrum Master
  • Evaluate change requests generated from Product Service Desk for inclusion in the project backlog

Quality Assurance

  • Design and perform quality assurance testing of the system, including solutions and functional testing

Stakeholder Management

  • Mange ongoing relationships with business partners and functional stakeholders including the internal project team and the developers. Represent the project/product in management meetings and alignment meetings

Product Integration

  • Maintain communication and understanding with other running products and software projects in order to ensure alignment of business needs and solution designs

Software Contract Management

  • Develop and report on Software Contracts, SLAs, and vendor management as required within the project


  • University degree or equivalent in Information Systems, IT or Business Administration with focus on IT
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Business Analysis or System Quality Assurance, including relevant work experience in iNGOs or international organisations
  • Previous experience in translating business requirements into domain IT solutions
  • Experience with SQL/data visualization techniques and tools, with Power BI
  • Experience with Salesforce platform would be an advantage
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Previous experience with agile project management
  • Excellent command of English
  • A valid Austrian working permit or eligibility to work within the EU
