Donor Services Advisor CEE/CIS (f/m)

Location: Skopje, FYR Macedonia

SOS Children’s Villages International is the umbrella organisation for the global federation of SOS Children’s Villages. As a non-governmental social development organisation we support children without parental care and families in difficult living conditions through services in care, education, health and emergency relief, and we advocate for the rights of children and young people, in alliance with a great diversity of partners. We work in 135 countries and territories, reaching over one million children, young people, families and caregivers each year.

Tasks and responsibilities:
  • Support the International child sponsorship product by managing the network of National experts who deliver high quality content (pictures, videos and stories) to the Member associations in order to service donors
  • Ensures implementation of standards and guidelines in all 25 countries of the region
  • Organises regional/cross-regional workshops according to defined need, builds a strong sponsorship team and ensures networking and mutual support between national sponsorship co-workers
  • Supports national sponsorship co-workers to develop and leverage their writing and photographic skills
  • Contributes to General Secretariat feedback regarding national sponsorship servicing, proposes measures for improvement and follows them up
  • Represents and promotes the sponsorship area in the Fund Development and communications department and gives input to relevant meetings and planning.
  • Preferably a University degree in communications/marketing, fundraising or public relations
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience with customer enquiries, donor retention and donor communication including some experience working with databases
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A high standard of team working skills
  • Practical experience in project management and facilitation 
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, Russian of advantage
  • Readiness to travel
