Message from the New Chair of the Board of SOS Children’s Villages International Domenico Parisi

It is with immense gratitude and a deep sense of responsibility that I step into the role of Chair of the Board of SOS Children’s Villages International.

Our founding vision — that every child deserves to grow up in a safe and loving home — continues to resonate profoundly. A nurturing environment, where children can grow physically, emotionally, cognitively, and spiritually, is not only a basic right but the foundation for a successful and fulfilling adulthood. When children are surrounded by care and stability, they are empowered to thrive, dream, and pursue their fullest potential.

This mission is not just something I believe in — it is something I have lived. As a former programme participant, I know firsthand the transformative power of a loving home and a community that believes in you. My journey from growing up in an SOS Children’s Villages home to now serving as Chair of the Board is a testament to the impact of our work and the promise it holds for every child we serve.

As I take on this new role, I do so with a deep commitment to every child and young person without parental care or at risk of losing it. Whether through direct support or through advocacy to mobilize those who can make a difference, I will work tirelessly to ensure that no child is left without the love, protection, and opportunity they deserve.

Together, with our dedicated staff, partners, and supporters around the world, we will continue to uphold and strengthen the legacy of SOS Children’s Villages. Let us move forward with hope, unity, and unwavering dedication to building a world where every child has a stable home  and grows with love, respect, and security.

June 30 2025 - The 23rd Ordinary General Assembly of SOS Children’s Villages elected the organization’s first-ever International Board, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the federation’s global governance.

Clarification on the status of SOS Children’s Villages International Office in Innsbruck

June 27 2025 - SOS Children’s Villages International remains committed to the transformation plan announced in January 2025, which includes the planned closure of the physical premises in Innsbruck over the next three to five years.
