Understanding peer violence amongst children: E-learning course launched

May 19 2026 - The free e-learning course, “Applying Safe Behaviours: Preventing and Responding to Peer Violence,” is now available on ChildHub, offering adults who care for or work with children and young people an accessible introduction to peer on peer violence based on the perspectives of children and young people themselves.

Children and young people share their realities of peer violence and gender norms

May 8 2026 - Psychological violence, gender norms and online harassment shape the everyday experiences of many children and young people across Europe. These are among the key findings of the Applying Safe Behaviours II Scoping Report, launched by SOS Children’s Villages International and Terre des hommes Lausanne Foundation as part of the EU co-funded project “Applying Safe Behaviours: Preventing and Responding to Peer Violence and Gender-Based Violence Amongst Children and Young People.”

Preventing peer violence through participation and training

April 29 2026 - For many children, particularly those growing up in vulnerable situations, peer on peer violence is an ongoing and often normalised part of everyday life. With the Applying Safe Behaviours II project, SOS Children’s Villages International and partners are working to strengthen prevention, build the skills of professionals, and empower children and young people to shape safer environments for themselves and their peers.
