June 16 2026 - Every year on 16 June, we commemorate the Day of the African Child, honoring the courage of the children of Soweto who, in 1976, stood against injustice and demanded their right to quality education. Fifty years later, African children around the continent continue to call on governments and duty bearers to move beyond promises and deliver meaningful investments that protect and advance their rights.

Understanding peer violence amongst children: E-learning course launched

May 19 2026 - The free e-learning course, “Applying Safe Behaviours: Preventing and Responding to Peer Violence,” is now available on ChildHub, offering adults who care for or work with children and young people an accessible introduction to peer on peer violence based on the perspectives of children and young people themselves.
