All-clear given after earthquake in India and Sri Lanka

March 30 2005 - 29/03/2005 - SOS Children's Village co-workers were able to give the all-clear in India and Sri Lanka after another strong earthquake near Sumatra. All SOS Children's Village projects in the region were unharmed.

Trauma treatment for hundreds of children and women in Darfur

March 24 2005 - 24 March 2005 - Children and women are among the most vulnerable victims in the war-ravaged Darfur region of Sudan, where thousands have been killed and hundreds of thousands more have fled from their homes since the fighting escalated in 2003. SOS Children's Villages will expand its work in the Abu Shok refugee camp in northern Darfur, to provide trauma treatment and protection for hundreds of affected children and single mothers.

Life after the sea surge

March 15 2005 - 14/03/2005 - One could feel the festive atmosphere, see the hustle and bustle. The entire square had been decorated, and a colourful sail was outstretched. Everybody was very excited and participated in making the celebration a success. The fishermen said a special prayer and then set out to sea - it was the first time in two months.
