Designer Christian Louboutin announced today that SOS Children’s Villages USA will benefit from his limited-edition shoe, Malangeli. The shoe was designed in collaboration with actress Angelina Jolie and was inspired by the 30 May 2014 release of Disney’s film Maleficent, starring Jolie.

Louboutin worked alongside Jolie, a long-time supporter of both Louboutin's designs and SOS Children's Villages' programmes, to bring the project to life.

“It is exciting to work with someone who has such a strong aesthetic and character. Getting to know Angelina through a fun collaboration has been one of my greatest pleasures,” said Louboutin.

Malangeli features a sculpted heel that curls away from the wedge sole like a tendril of smoke. Its patent leather body enshrouds a nude mesh base, further promoting an illusion of magic.

This style is available in black and red patent leather through pre-order at four Christian Louboutin flagship boutiques worldwide from October 20th 2014. Profits from sales will benefit SOS Children’s Villages, the world’s largest organisation dedicated to ensuring that every child grows up in a loving home, with security and respect.
