75 Years of Impact

Since our founding in 1949, SOS Children’s Villages has been dedicated to ensuring that no child grows up alone. This publication represents an update of the social impact assessment data presented in our earlier report, 70 Years of Impact, but also expands the discussion to include results from our advocacy efforts in the last two decades.

In this global partnership between SOS Children’s Villages and the private sector, corporate volunteers share their time, skills, and expertise to help young poeple without adequate parental or from families facing hardship to transition from school to decent work and an independent life.

YouthCan! Global Report

YouthCan! is SOS Children’s Villages’ largest youth employability initiative. Between September and December 2020, SOS Children’s Villages decided to validate the success of the project by commissioning an independent evaluation of its outcomes in four countries: Madagascar, Nigeria, Costa Rica and Brazil. This executive summary report offers an overview of the main findings of the midterm evaluation of the YouthCan! programme, which was conducted by the Action Research for CO-development (ARCO) research centre.
