Through its partnership with SOS Children’s Villages, Bata contributes to programs that help young people prepare for independent life. The collaboration supports YouthCan! and psychosocial support initiatives in Kenya, Zambia, Peru, Colombia, Thailand, and Bangladesh, giving practical skills, guidance, and confidence to young people facing uncertain futures.
Bata employees play a key role in the program, volunteering their time as mentors and trainers. They work directly with young participants, sharing knowledge on job readiness, communication, personal development, and career planning. This hands-on support helps bridge the gap between education and employment, giving young people a better start as they enter the job market.
So far, more than 2,400 young people have taken part in the programs supported by Bata. Many have gained access to training, internships, and job opportunities, helping them build skills for the future and take important steps towards independence.
The partnership reflects Bata’s long-standing belief in the importance of contributing to the well-being of the communities where it operates, with a clear focus on creating real, lasting impact for young people.
